Post-race penalties hand Marciello point
28 July 2014 – Racing Engineering driver and Ferrari youngster Raffaele Marciello has moved into the points for the second Hungaroring GP2 race after Adrian-Quaife Hobbs was among those hit with penalties.
Rapax's Quaife-Hobbs was deemed to have caused a collision with Caterham Racing rival Tom Dillmann on the final lap of Sunday's Sprint encounter, resulting in a 20-second time penalty which drops him from eighth to 12th.
Marciello, whose Feature Race imploded when he was penalised for speeding in the pit lane and overtaking Stoffel Vandoorne behind the Safety Car, therefore moves up to eighth, claiming the final point on offer.
Daniël de Jong and André Negrão were also penalised after clashes with Julián Leal and Simon Trummer.
De Jong falls from 17th to 18th with a penalty mirroring the one given to Quaife-Hobbs, while Negrão, who retired as a result of his collision, gets a five-place grid drop for the next round of the season at Spa-Francorchamps.
