Patrick signs fresh 3-year deal with AGR

Patrick signs fresh 3-year deal with AGR

25 September 2009

Danica Patrick has signed a brand-new three-year contract to stay in the IndyCar Series with Andretti Green Racing. Rumours has circulated recently connecting the popular driver's career with a move out of the championship although Friday's news confirms that Patrick will stay put until at least the end of the 2012 season.

With gossip having recently surrounded Patrick and other championships, notably NASCAR and Formula One with the USF1 team, the signing of the new deal at the Motegi Twin Ring last weekend confirms that Danica remains with Andretti Green and with Motorola sponsorship for the next three seasons.

2010 will mark 27-year-old Patrick's sixth season in IndyCars and the fourth consecutive campaign with AGR, with the 2009 standings seeing her currently placed in the top five with only one round remaining. Beloit's Danica has not yet commented on her latest pact.
