Viso tests for KV at Sebring
16 February 2010 – Former HVM driver E.J. Viso has completed a test with the KV Racing team with a view to racing for the squad this season. Having notched up a total of 103 laps in Florida without issue, 24-year-old Viso's best effort came in the shape of 53.89.
"KV Racing Technology had a successful test today and I am very pleased with the way both the team and E.J. performed," KV Racing General Manager Mark Johnson commented. "This was our first pre-season test and it went off without a hitch. The team did a great job preparing the car and it performed flawlessly."
Optimistic over the performance of the Venezuelan driver, Johnson revealed that the team will now move into talks with the ex GP2 pilot. "At this point, we will sit down with E.J. and discuss further plans for the 2010 IndyCar Series season," he continued. "I do anticipate testing him again at the IndyCar Series Open Test at Barber next week."
"I am very happy with the way the test went with KV Racing Technology," Viso added. "The car was prepared well and we got a lot of work done. This is a very professional team, a great group of engineers and mechanics. I felt very positive and comfortable working with them."
