500 latest: Tracy and Green to KV, Rahal to Rahal

5 May 2010

Two more driver confirmations have been announced ahead of this year's Indianapolis 500, which will take place at the end of the month. Paul Tracy reunites with an old racing flame at KV Racing whereas Graham Rahal will contest the race with father Bobby's Rahal Letterman team.

Having hinted 'Good news' via his personal Twitter feed, Tracy (top) is delighted to have been confirmed as a KV driver for the 2010 version of the prestigious event, as well as partnering Race Strategist Barry Green once again.

"With my tenure at Team Kool Green, Barry called every one of my races and called all of my race wins, including winning the 2002 Indianapolis 500," the Canadian said. "When Jimmy (Vasser) and I sat down at Long Beach to discuss our Indy 500 plans, Jimmy told me he couldn't be as hands-on with my car as he was last year.

"He asked me to explore the right person to help me at Indy; it didn't take long to think of Barry - he has the same desire and commitment to winning as I do. Obviously, he was my choice to work with me this year."

The Rahal family is also highly pleased as their deal marks the first time that Graham has driven for his father.

"I think he has proven that he belongs and I'm thrilled to have him," Bobby told USA Today. "It's flattering when your child wants to do what you do and even better when he wants to do it for you."
