Fuzzy's Vodka to sponsor Carpenter for Indy

11 May 2010

Panther Racing has confirmed that Fuzzy's Ultra Premium Vodka will be sponsoring Ed Carpenter's car for this year's Indianapolis 500. The company is owned by Fuzzy Zoeller, the Indiana golf star who moved into the spirits business in July last year.

Carpenter, who finished last year's legendary Indy 500 in 8th place for Vision, will be contesting the event with the No. 20 car in 2010.

"I've won some majors in my golf career and there is no doubt that the Indianapolis 500 is the major championship in the world of motor racing," said Zoeller, who has won 12 times on PGA and Champions Tours including the Masters, the U.S. Open and the Senior PGA Championship.

"I am very excited about our partnership with Tony (George, team owner), Ed, Panther Racing and their deep ties to Indiana. I would love to add another major to my resume; Ed's resume on ovals is impressive, so we think we have a shot."

"This is an exciting development for us," George added. "The opportunity to have Fuzzy Zoeller as part of this collaboration between Panther Racing and Vision Racing, with sponsorship from Fuzzy's Ultra Premium Vodka, really gives us the confidence that we can go out and win.

"Fuzzy is a true champion and knows what it takes to win. I am very grateful to Fuzzy and all the many people who have come together to support this effort."
