Hildebrand to make debut with Dreyer & Reinbold

9 July 2010

Dreyer & Reinbold has confirmed that, following the upcoming Canadian races, J.R. Hildebrand will step into Mike Conway’s accident for the following two events at Mid-Ohio and Sonoma. The pair of races will mark the American’s first in the IndyCar Series.

With Conway having been out of action since his huge accident at Indianapolis, the Englishman is being replaced by Tomas Scheckter in Toronto next weekend although Hildebrand is naturally thrilled with his chance to team up with Justin Wilson.

“First off, I’m really excited to join Dreyer & Reinbold Racing for my first races in the IZOD IndyCar Series at Mid-Ohio and Sonoma,” he began. “It's under unfortunate circumstances because of Mike and I wish him well, but it will be great to be racing with DRR.

“They've shown great pace all season and I’m going to try to push myself toward being at the front. I'm also looking forward to being team-mates with Justin Wilson, I think it will be a great opportunity all around.”
