Power fastest in second practice
8 July 2011 – Penske driver Will Power moved atop the timing screens in this afternoon’s second practice session in Toronto, posting an effort of 1:00.558 in the final few moments of track action. Ganassi’s Scott Dixon followed little more than one tenth of a second behind, while early practice pace-setter Dario Franchitti had to settle for third.
Canadian James Hinchliffe enjoyed an improved showing in front of his home crowd this afternoon in fourth place, edging ahead of KV Racing’s Tony Kanaan by just seven thousandths of a second.
