Andretti driver Mike Conway was the fastest man during the third and final practice session in Toronto this afternoon, despite damaging his car after contact with the barriers. The Briton was able to pit for minor repairs, holding onto the top spot ahead of New Zealander Scott Dixon. The top three was completed by Hélio Castroneves, with the Penske driver demonstrating strong pace throughout.
Ever-increasing grip levels at the Canadian venue enabled Conway to set the fastest time of the weekend so far, finishing just outside the 59 second barrier with a time of 1:00.046. Behind the fastest three runners, Tony Kanaan continued to feature at the higher end of the timing screens, while Dreyer & Reinbold pilot Justin Wilson edged ahead of Ryan Hunter-Reay by two thousandths of a second to claim fifth.
Dario Franchitti was next up in seventh place, outpacing Penske rival Ryan Briscoe who repeated the position he achieved in second practice. Graham Rahal grabbed ninth ahead of E.J. Viso, while overall Friday pace-setter Will Power finished 13th.
