Graham Rahal set the pace ahead of Ganassi team-mate Dario Franchitti during final practice at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway this afternoon, circulating the Loudon venue in a time of 21.700 seconds. The pair were the only men to lap under the 22 second barrier, with James Hinchcliffe falling to third after leading today's first outing.
KV Racing’s strong weekend continued at the hands of Takuma Sato, with the Japanese driver setting the fourth fastest time ahead of leading Penske runner Ryan Briscoe. New Zealander Scott Dixon occupied sixth after completing the most mileage of all 26 runners, while Hélio Castroneves moved considerably up the order to claim seventh.
Charlie Kimball and Indianapolis 500 runner-up J.R. Hildebrand were next up in eighth and ninth respectively, while Alex Tagliani made his way into the top ten for Sam Schmidt Motorsports. Will Power slipped back following his improved pace in third practice, ending up only 16th fastest at the end of a low-key session for the Australian.
