HVM Racing has expressed its collective delight at the return of Simona de Silvestro for this weekend’s IndyCar round at the new Baltimore street circuit. The Swiss driver was forced to miss the last race at the Infineon Speedway due to issues with customs, meaning she was replaced by Simon Pagenaud.
“I'm so happy to be back in the US and reunited with my team,” says 23-year-old de Silvestro.
“This whole experience was frustrating, but I really want to thank my fans and sponsors for their support. It was also great to see that my team was able to persevere and post a good result with Simon Pagenaud last weekend.
“Now it's time to focus on the Baltimore Grand Prix and the rest of the season. We're setting our goals high for a solid finish.”
