Power continues to set Baltimore pace

IndyCar Series: Baltimore Street Circuit: Saturday second free practice results

Penske driver Will Power made it two pace-setting practice sessions out of two in Baltimore on Saturday morning, posting a time of 1:21.017 to lead chief championship rival Dario Franchitti once again. Graham Rahal wound up third behind his Ganassi team-mate, the American part of a top ten covered by less than a second.

After a quiet session getting to grips with the circuit yesterday, Scott Dixon found the pace required to jump up to fourth this afternoon. The New Zealander narrowly led Sebastian Bourdais and Vitor Meira for his top four spot, while Ryan Briscoe did enough to end the session in seventh place ahead of Canada's James Hinchcliffe.

Giorgio Pantano continued to perform well in only his second IndyCar weekend for Dreyer & Reinbold, outpacing Spanish rival Oriol Servià who rounded out the top ten.

Qualifying begins at 12.10pm local time (BST -5)
