Howard joins RLL for Las Vegas
22 September 2011 – It has been confirmed by Rahal Letterman Lanigan (RLL) that Jay Howard will return to the IndyCar Series for the upcoming season finale in Las Vegas. The Basildon-born driver was last in action for the Texas double header in mid-June.
Howard joins RLL for the third time this year, piloting the #15 Service Central Dallara/Honda/Firestone chassis. He will partner London’s Pippa Mann.
“It's great to be back,” Howard comments. “We had a strong run at Indianapolis and a bit of bad luck in Texas, so we are looking to finish off the season on a high note in Vegas, heading into 2012 with the new car and the expanded schedule.
“Vegas is the perfect venue for the finale; Randy (Bernard, IndyCar CEO) has done a great job for the series thus far. I have not driven at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but I'm looking forward to hitting the track for the first time.”
