Panther re-signs Hildebrand for next two seasons

17 November 2011

Panther Racing has announced that J.R. Hildebrand will remain on-board for the 2012 and 2013 IndyCar seasons. The 2009 Indy Lights Champion and 2011 Indy 500 runner-up managed a selection of strong results this year, including fourth at Iowa.

“I’m super stoked that I’m going to be back at Panther for the next two years,” says the 23-year-old Californian. “It was a crazy year for us, but we had some really strong runs and I enjoyed being a part of this team.”

Although he impressed, Hildebrand’s season was affected by the tearing of a knee ligament during a promotional event in June at the Texas Motor Speedway, requiring surgery in October. He also suffered a broken hand after crashing in the Baltimore street race.
