Barrichello reveals helmet for Indy 500

14 May 2012

Rubens Barrichello will be sporting a special helmet for the upcoming Indianapolis 500, in which he will compete for the first time this month. The Brazilian switched to America’s IndyCar Series after being dropped by Williams in Formula 1.

The helmet continues to hold the typical Barrichello blue top with red perimeter, but now displays a collage of the Brazilian flag with the USA’s stars and stripes.

The KV Racing driver has been practicing for the legendary event on his home simulator, with which he uses the popular Logitech G27 steering wheel.

In Barcelona on Sunday, former F1 team-mate and fellow South American Pastor Maldonado celebrated Williams’ first victory since the 2004 Brazilian Grand Prix.
