Sebastián Saavedra will contest the 2013 IndyCar season with Dragon Racing, joining Sébastien Bourdais at the squad. The 22-year-old Columbian returns to America's premier single seater category after a step back to the Indy Lights series in 2012, where he claimed one victory and four further podium finishes.
"We are very excited to have Sebastián join Dragon Racing for 2013 and beyond," explained Jay Penske, who revived the team back in February 2011. "I have been watching Sebastian’s rapid progression through the various series and I truly believe he is the perfect team-mate for Bourdais. I look forward to seeing the results of their collaboration, and seeing them both on the podium many times this year."
The 2013 IndyCar season kicks off with the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on 24 March, before the teams visit 18 more venues on a calendar which stretches to 19 October.
