IndyCar presents 18-race calendar
18 October 2013 – The IndyCar series is to stage 18 races in 2014, organisers have confirmed. There will be a total of 15 race weekends throughout the season, which spans five months, with double-headers taking place on the streets of Detroit, Houston and Toronto.
New-for-2014 is the Grand Prix of Indianapolis, which will be held on the infield of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway a fortnight before the famous Indianapolis 500. The most notable absentee is Brazil, with the São Paulo race losing its place on the roster.
The season finale will run at the much earlier date of August 30, again in Fontana.
