Peugeot leads final practice at Spa
8 May 2010 – It was ORECA Peugeot on top before the works team moved ahead in the two Friday practice sessions at Spa-Francorchamps and the latter has now further confirmed its pace by topping the third and final practice period ahead of Saturday's qualifying session.
It was Simon Pagenaud in the Peugeot in second practice but Stephane Sarrazin behind the wheel on Saturday morning in the Ardennes, half a second quicker than another Peugeot as French compatriot Sébastien Bourdais finished second on the timesheets.
Allan McNish and Audi made the top three, closer to the French cars in time than they were yesterday, as the privateer ORECA squad completed the session fourth courtesy of another ex Formula 1 racer, Olivier Panis, and Nicolas Lapierre. The Audi of Rockenfeller and Wurz completes the top five.
