Akiyoshi looks forward to first European MotoGP race

Rizla Suzuki test rider Kousuke Akiyoshi received a wildcard for the upcoming race at Jerez. In the second round of the 2007 MotoGP World Championship the 31-year-old will enjoy his second MotoGP season in his racing career.

Akiyoshi hopes he can do well in Jerez de la Frontera. "I am very happy to have the chance to race at Jerez," he said. "I did my first GP in Japan last year, but this will be something very different to that. I want to perform well and make sure that I can get a good result."
