The Honda Gresini team began its preparations for the 2008 MotoGP season at Valencia on Tuesday. At the Ricardo Tormo circuit the team's new riders Shinya Nakano and Alex de Angelis completed a succesfull test with the team.
For Alex de Angelis it was his MotoGP debut. He said about his first day: "I have to confess that I was very excited and a bit nervous before I hit the track. It was my first time at a MotoGP bike. Once I went on track though the nerves went away and I soon felt pretty comfortable at the bike. I enjoyed the power and electronics on the RC212V.
"I still have a lot to learn and I have to get used to the bike, especially the feeling with carbon brakes. Everything is still really new for me but my day was easier than expected. I am really happy with my new team and feel comfortable with them."
