Randy de Puniet was the fastest man on track again at Sepang. The Frenchman completed his fastest lap in 1.01.139 on Wednesday afternoon. Tech 3 rider Colin Edwards ended second, right ahead of his former team-mate Valentino Rossi.
Wednesday was the second out of the three-day test in Malaysia. De Puniet's strong pace was almost perfect. A small crash did little to hinder his day of testing.
Rookie rider Jorge Lorenzo was also well on the pace again. The young Spaniard set the fourth fastest time of the day, only 0.150s behind on his team-mate and former MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi.
