Ducati rider Casey Stoner was Saturday's fastest man in the third and final free practice session. The Australian was four thousands of a second faster than Friday's fastest lap set by Dani Pedrosa. Behind Stoner former world champion Nicky Hayden ended second with his country fellow Colin Edwards in third.
The Catalonian Grand Prix weekend continued on Saturday morning at Circuit de Catalunya. For most of the one-hour session Repsol Honda rider Nicky Hayden topped the time sheets.
At Yamaha the focus will be on Valentino Rossi. His team mate Jorge Lorenzo crashed heavily on Friday afternoon and is unable to continue the race weekend. He was told by doctors in the Barcelona hospital he will need to rest and skip the rest of the weekend.
