Randy de Puniet will be remaining with the LCR Honda satellite team for the 2010 season, it was confirmed by the team on Tuesday. The Frenchman first joined MotoGP's top class in 2006 and is happy with the outcome.
Currently placed joint ninth in the standings with San Marino's Alex de Angelis, de Puniet is pleased with the confirmation of a fresh LCR contract. "The 2010 season will be my fifth year in the MotoGP class," the Maisons-Laffitte man commented.
"Honda is working hard to improve the RCV machine and the LCR team is very professional - they are like a family for me; we have the potential to make positive results and we will try again."
"We are very happy to be working with Randy next year," added team boss Lucio Cecchinello. "He still has a lot of potential and our aim was to continue the project we started together in MotoGP in 2008. I am very confident of what we can achieve in 2010: we will work with the same style and with the same determination to make a step up in the quality of our organisation and on-track performances."
