Finnish Pramac Racing Team rider Mika Kallio has renewed his contract with the team ahead of the Portuguese Grand Prix. Kallio was offered a new contract thanks to his strong performance in his debut season in MotoGP with Pramac.
Pramac Racing Team Principal, Paolo Campinoti, commented on Kallio's new contract: "We are very happy to agree with Mika and continue to work together also in the next season. This year, at his MotoGP debut, he has obtained positive performances and we believe we can improve next year. We believe in his riding abilities and we are proud to be able to continue this project together."
Mika Kallio was obviously also pleased to continue his career at Pramac. He said: "I am very happy to be able to continue with the Pramac Racing Team, Paolo Campinoti and Ducati to give continuity to this project. This season is going in a positive direction with high and low point, but considering that it is my rookie season it's normal: we confide to be able to improve together next year. This weekend we will compete in Estoril, not one of my favorite tracks, but where I made it to conquer interesting results: last year in 250cc I concluded in third position while in 125cc I made it to step on every single step of the podium."
