Capirossi looking forward to Japanese return

27 September 2010

Loris Capirossi will be back in action at the Japanese Moto Grand Prix this weekend, having been forced to miss Motorland Aragón’s inaugural event last time out due to an injured finger.

Italian Capirossi lies 15th in the championship after 13 races in 2010 but is keen to return after losing any chance to score in Spain.

“My finger is at about 90 percent, but it’s only a finger so I’m totally ready for the weekend,” said the Suzuki rider.

“I am still having physiotherapy every day to get it better and will continue until the race, so by then it should be okay.

“I love Motegi, it’s my favourite race track of the year and I have good memories from there. I have won three times and it would be amazing to challenge the front guys – especially as it’s a big weekend for Suzuki.

“I know that it’s tough out there but anything is possible and we’ve got to keep believing in ourselves.”
