Andrea Dovizioso has confirmed that three different teams share the first three places on the grid for the Malaysian Grand Prix, as his Honda lines up behind Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo and Ducati’s Casey Stoner on a weekend when he is his team’s sole representative.
With Dani Pedrosa out of action after breaking his collarbone in Japan, full team technical support is behind Dovizioso, who has fine-tuned his setup to what he believes is a highly respectable level.
“The important part in getting the first row, for us, is because it means we're doing a really good job,” said the Italian.
“I'm so happy with the work by the team; we've improved a lot between Japan and here, with the setup alone.
“I'm so happy because it's good when you find the right way. It’ll be a hard race but it will be nice.”
