The Yamaha Factory Racing team was present at Sepang on Monday morning evening in order to present its 2011 livery, which will be displayed by Ben Spies and World Champion Jorge Lorenzo this season. The presentation preceded this week’s test at the same venue, which takes place from Tuesday to Thursday.

With the launch of the YZR-M1 underway from 6pm local time, Lorenzo and 2010 Rookie of the Year Spies were joined by a selection of key team personnel such as Lin Jarvis and Wilco Zeelenberg.

“I'm very happy to be here again preparing to start another season riding with Yamaha,” said Lorenzo, with this year’s bike being chiefly dark blue.

“Winning the World Championship last season was an incredible feeling, but now we start again. I have a great crew and, with the hard work of the Japanese engineers over the winter, I feel confident we can fight for more success this year.”
