Simoncelli ‘not totally happy’ with bike setup

2011 German MotoGP Grand Prix: Friday second free practice results

Marco Simoncelli insists there is more work to do before he feels totally comfortable on his Honda Gresini bike at the Sachsenring, with the Italian admitting to 'rear traction problems' throughout Friday practice. The Cattolica-born rider set a time of 1:22.225 in the afternoon session, outpacing current title holder Jorge Lorenzo by 0.095 seconds.

"Everything is going well although I am not totally happy because we have some rear traction problems on the left side that we are struggling to resolve," he said on Friday afternoon.

"It seems everybody is in the same boat but we will be working mainly on this area tomorrow to try and improve the situation.

"Our other main aim is to get a clear idea about tyre choice for Sunday's race. Thirty laps is a lot here, especially because there is barely a single straight for you to relax on."
