Pedrosa striving for ‘equal terms’

3 August 2011

Dani Pedrosa insists that he is continuing to push as hard as possible with his recovery plans. Yet to fully recuperate from his Le Mans crash, the Spaniard now sits fourth overall and 83 points off team-mate Casey Stoner’s championship lead.

“My muscles are very stiff, so I will try to rest a bit to allow them to relax,” Pedrosa said in a Honda team interview. “When I feel better, I intend to train in order to avoid feeling so week in the second half of the races.

“Especially after the injuries I suffered, as I was never at 100 percent. The wins give me a high level of confidence. My rivals are in full form, so I am eager to recover my form too so that I can fight against them on equal terms.

“Right now I am not at 100 percent, but I hope to recover progressively race after race and let's hope that I will be able to fight back in the end.”

MotoGP continues in the Czech Republic next weekend.
