Jorge Lorenzo is full of anticipation ahead of this weekend’s Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno, admitting that he is ‘completely recharged’ following the mid-season break. The factory Yamaha rider is currently 20 points behind championship leader Casey Stoner, a deficit he is fully focused on overhauling during the second half of the season.
"After the long break we are going to Brno completely recharged and ready to fight and try to reduce the gap with Casey," reigning Champion Lorenzo explained.
"This is a track I like and where I won last year. I hope we can start the second half of the season on the podium. After the race we will be testing the 1000cc bike for one day. I am really looking forward to discovering the new Yamaha."
Lorenzo claimed victory at Brno en route to his maiden MotoGP title success last year, taking the chequered flag comfortably ahead of fellow Spaniard Dani Pedrosa.
