Dani Pedrosa continued to set the pace at Brno this afternoon, posting a personal best time of 1:56.454 at the Czech venue. Casey Stoner was once again the closest man to his Repsol Honda team-mate, closing to within four tenths of the Sabadell-born rider while Gresini's Marco Simoncelli once again completed the top three.
Pedrosa’s ultimate pace during the second session of the day was just over one tenth shy of his fastest time this morning, but it was still enough to remain comfortably ahead of his competitors. Jorge Lorenzo was once again fourth on his Yamaha machinery, while Andrea Dovizioso and Ben Spies managed to hold onto their top six positions.
Valentino Rossi enjoyed a much more positive outing for Ducati, posting the seventh quickest time as opposed to his 11th place effort from earlier today. Álvaro Bautista shaved almost five tenths of a second off his previous best time as grip levels increased, finishing just ahead of Cal Crutchlow and Suzuki team-mate John Hopkins.
Saturday's third and final practice session begins at 10.10am local time (BST +1)
