Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo shot to the top of the timesheets at Misano on Friday afternoon, translating a one-second deficit to a one-second advantage on MotoGP’s practice timesheets ahead of Sunday’s San Marino Grand Prix.
“I feel much more comfortable on the bike this afternoon with the changes we made,” said the reigning World Champion. “The setup we had is very similar to the Mugello one and I won the race there.
“To be honest, I didn’t expect so much change because we improved by more than one second. We are now quite close to a victory, I think. Casey (Stoner) and Dani (Pedrosa) are still so fast but at least we are there with them.”
