Stoner: We're back to where we were

2011 MotoGP Grand Prix: Sunday race results

Casey Stoner has praised his Repsol Honda team after winning this afternoon's Aragón Grand Prix, with the Australian delighted to claim the top spot after his string of victories was cut short at Misano last time out. The 2007 Champion finished comfortably ahead of team-mate Dani Pedrosa, with main title rival Jorge Lorenzo back in third.

"We’re pretty much back to where we were before Misano," Stoner explained to BBC Sport. "We struggled definitely that weekend, but we knew what was wrong and it was pretty easy to come back from that. It felt good all day today, all weekend.

"The bike has been fantastic, we had to put up with a few changes in the weather, so it was a little bit challenging but in general the track conditions were good. The bike was perfect for us today, so we just had to bring it home. I’m a very, very happy boy."
