Lorenzo pleased with damage limitation
Jorge Lorenzo refused to label his third place finish at MotorLand Aragón this afternoon as too much of a disappointment, with the factory Yamaha rider admitting that the result was as much as he could have hoped for from a ‘disastrous’ event. The reigning Champion is now 44 points in arrears of Stoner, with just four rounds remaining.
"As I said after qualifying yesterday, in normal conditions it was impossible to beat Casey, because he was extremely fast," Lorenzo told reporters after the race.
"It was the same with Dani (Pedrosa), so for this disastrous weekend, third position isn’t that bad. I’m happy."
