Nakasuga to replace Lorenzo in Malaysia
19 October 2011 – Yamaha test rider Katsuyuki Nakasuga will travel to Malaysia to replace injured Yamaha Factory rider Jorge Lorenzo for this weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang.
The Spaniard injured his ring finger on his left hand during Sunday’s warm-up session prior to the Australian Grand Prix and is now recovering at home in Barcelona. The 30-year-old Nakasuga from Japan will join team-mate Ben Spies at the upcoming MotoGP weekend.
A decision on Jorge Lorenzo’s participation in the final race of the season at the Grand Prix of Valencia will be made within the next two weeks.
