MotoGP governing body the FIM has confirmed that the Portuguese Grand Prix will be taking place in 2012. Although Estoril already had a place on the calendar as Round 3 on the weekend of 4-6 May, negotiations with organisers were still ongoing.
The confirmation seals the sport’s schedule for 2012, with the season again kicking off under lights in Qatar before the curtain comes down in Valencia in mid-November.
