Private Aragón test for Honda and Yamaha

Private Aragón test for Honda and Yamaha

3 September 2012

The factory MotoGP teams of Honda and Yamaha, as well as the LCR Honda squad, will travel to MotorLand Aragón on Tuesday to begin a two-day private test session. One of the focusses will be development of the latest Bridgestone tyres.

Ahead of the Aragón race at the end of the month, the Spanish circuit will play host to a number of riders. This includes World Superbike man Jonathan Rea, who will ride Casey Stoner’s Honda for the second time with a view to substituting for the injured World Champion. Yamaha will continue to work with their 2013 prototype machines.

The new Bridgestones are a hard compound, but closer to the Medium version than the current Hard. The aim is to produce a more consistent gap between compounds.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, track action will take place between 9am and 1pm as well as 2pm and 6pm local time (BST +1). Fans can watch for free from Grandstand 3.
