Petrucci switches to Suter for Misano

Petrucci switches to Suter for Misano

5 September 2012

Danilo Petrucci will make a move for next weekend’s San Marino MotoGP, it has been confirmed by Suter. In the meantime, the Italian – who has raced with Came IodaRacing Project so far in 2012 -  is carrying out tests with the BMW CRT bike at Vairano.

“We would like to move forward,” company owner Eskil Suter explains. “We are basically doing development stuff to get the tools to adjust the system to the GP riders. Today we we were with Dominique Aegerter, as he already knows the bike, and Danilo is riding it tomorrow (Wednesday) so he can try it before the race at Misano. Once there, he will also be given two more electronics guys.”

Suter also remains positive about the future of Colin Edwards, who began the season with Forward Racing but has also tested other CRT bikes.

“Colin was looking for new motivation, but after riding the ART bike he saw there was nothing magic.” Suter adds. “We are, in a way, restarting the relationship with Colin, aiming to make progress step-by-step.”
