IRTA doctors have confirmed that Nicky Hayden is able to contest this weekend’s San Marino MotoGP at Misano. The American will make a personal decision on Friday.
Having been injured in practice for the Indianapolis race, the Ducati rider missed both that event and the following Grand Prix in the Czech Republic. He travelled to Misano with the hope of being officially declared as fit and was pleased to confirm as much.
The only thing which can now rule the 31-year-old out of Sunday’s race would be a decision of his own, should he suffer too much pain in Friday’s pair of practice sessions.
