Spies quickest in second free practice
28 September 2012 – Yamaha's Ben Spies led the way in Friday's second free practice session at Aragón, posting a time of 2:00.219 to claim the top spot. Dani Pedrosa posted the second fastest time on his Repsol Honda, with championship leader Jorge Lorenzo third.
Following his pace-setting time in this morning's quiet opening session, Nicky Hayden wound up fourth for Ducati, with Andrea Dovizioso and Stefan Bradl completing the top six. Britain's Cal Crutchlow made his way onto the circuit for the first time this weekend, finishing as the seventh quickest time for Tech 3 Yamaha.
Valentino Rossi slipped down the order when the full field made its way out on-track, ending the session eighth ahead of Karel Abraham and Álvaro Bautista.
