The MotoGP riders enjoyed their first sunny session in the final free practice for the Valencia Grand Prix and it was Dani Pedrosa who made the most of it by posting the fastest lap of the weekend so far ahead of Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow.
Mixed conditions in the final free practice session ahead of qualifying meant that most of the riders only took to the track in dry trim in the final 15 minutes. With damp patches scattered around the surface and quickly rising temperatures, it was only by the end of the session that the riders were actually able to find an almost completely dry racing line.
In tricky conditions, Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa posted a best time of 1.33.033 on his last lap, while Tech 3 pair Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow moved up to 2nd and 3rd respectively at the end of the session. LCR Honda's Stefan Bradl was fourth fastest followed by Nicky Hayden, this session's best-placed Ducati, and world champion Jorge Lorenzo on his Yamaha YZR-M1.
Alvaro Bautista finished the session in 7th position ahead of Randy de Puniet - who had been fastest in the wet in Friday, while Casey Stoner and Michele Pirro completed the top 10.
