Frustrated by the weather conditions in Valencia, the Yamaha works team has announced that Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi will now head to Aragón.

Tuesday and Wednesday of this week mark the first winter testing for the 2013 MotoGP season, notably signalling Rossi’s return to Yamaha from Ducati. Already annoyed by the weather this morning, a statement was sent out in the afternoon.

‘Due to restrictive weather conditions Yamaha Factory Racing will not remain at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia for the remainder of the scheduled test,’ the brief communiqué reads. ‘The team will move this evening to the Motorland circuit in Aragon for a one-day test tomorrow, 14th November.’

In accordance with changed MotoGP rules from earlier this year, a new ‘season’ now begins the moment the final race of the previous campaign concludes.
