Valentino Rossi claimed a popular victory in last weekend's Monza Rally Show, with the Italian winning the event for a third time. Triumphing in both the Stage Rally and the Master Show, the MotoGP rider dominated proceedings in front of 30,000 fans.
Rossi's winning margins, at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta WRC, were 2.8 seconds in the single Stage Rally and 8.5 seconds in the three-lap Master Show. Andrea Dovizioso, who is replacing his fellow countryman at Ducati, also featured on the podium.
Reigning MotoGP Champion Jorge Lorenzo, Rossi's future Yamaha team-mate, was also in action with a Citroen DS3, but failed to feature at the front of the order.
