Rain affects opening day of Sepang test
26 November 2012 – Poor weather at Sepang prevented Repsol Honda rookie Marc Márquez from completing the mileage he had wished for on Monday, with the Spaniard beginning a three day test at the Malaysian venue in a bid to get to grips with 1000cc machinery.
"At the moment the weather is definitely not our friend," Márquez commented after his limited dry running. "This morning the circuit was wet and we waited until 11am to go out. After only four exits (runs) it began to rain again and the day was over for us."
Gresini's Álvaro Bautista was the fastest man on-track, posting a time of 2.02.190. Honda test riders Kousuke Akiyoshi and Takumi Takahashi were also in action.
