Michele Pirro is set to make three wild card entries for Ducati next year, with the 26-year-old Italian impressing the manufacturer in his maiden MotoGP campaign.
Having scored 12 points finishes on CRT machinery in 2012, including a stunning ride to fifth at the finale in Valencia, Pirro will be given the chance to race a factory bike at the season opening Jerez event, plus his two home races at Mugello and Misano.
In 2013, Ducati's main squad will be made up of Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso, while Andrea Iannone and Ben Spies will race factory machines for Pramac.
