Pešek to ride for Came IodaRacing in 2013

21 December 2012

Lukáš Pešek will make his MotoGP debut with the Came IodaRacing Team in 2013, having signed a deal to ride a BMW-powered Suter in the premier class.

The Czech rider, who rode in Moto2 this year, will be reunited with Giampero Sacchi, his former Derbi boss when he took two wins in the 2007 125cc campaign.

"I'm very happy to get this opportunity," said Pešek. "I have to thank Giampiero Sacchi, with whom I share some great memories of my 125cc years. Racing in MotoGP is definitely not an easy task, I'll be up against the best riders in the world - it's a big step for sure but I'll give my best!"

The 2013 MotoGP field is currently made up of 25 riders - 13 prototype and 12 CRT.
