Ducati rider Nicky Hayden underwent a minor wrist operation earlier this week, having suffered two high-profile accidents at Indianapolis and MotorLand Aragón last year.
The American, operated on by personal doctor Arthur Ting, said via Twitter: "Minor tune up to clean up some old scar tissue. All went smooth, just a small setback."
Hayden initially suffered a double fracture at Indianapolis in 2012, before adding to his injuries when he was launched over a safety barrier at Aragón. The 31-year-old will continue his recovery ahead of the 2013 season which begins in Qatar on 7 April.
