Yamaha launches 2013 livery at Jerez

23 March 2013

The factory Yamaha team has unveiled its livery for the 2013 MotoGP campaign, with a presentation taking place ahead of the final pre-season test at the Circuit de Jerez.

World Champion Jorge Lorenzo and returning team-mate Valentino Rossi pulled the covers off the new design in the Yamaha garage. The bike has retained its corporate blue and white colours, with Lorenzo keeping his red #99 and Rossi his yellow #46.

Although Lorenzo fended off Dani Pedrosa to take his second world title last year, Yamaha was beaten by Honda in the Manufacturers' standings. The outfit therefore heads into the new season attempting to claim its first double since 2010.

The final pre-season test takes place at Jerez from 23-25 March, before the teams pack up and head to Qatar for the opening round on the weekend of 6-7 April.
