Bradl to remain with LCR through 2014
16 August 2013 – Stefan Bradl will remain an LCR Honda rider next season, the outfit has confirmed. The German is contesting his second term in the top echelon of motorcycle racing.
Having claimed the Moto2 title in 2011, Bradl stepped up to MotoGP the following year, recording a best finish of fourth at Mugello. The 23-year-old, who retains full factory support from the Honda Racing Corporation, claimed his maiden podium result at Laguna Seca last month, finishing second to Repsol Honda rival Marc Márquez.
"HRC’s support was extremely important for me in my first season in the premier class and, with their direct cooperation, I achieved my first podium in the top class this year," said Bradl. "We know each other very well now and we have built a professional and friendly atmosphere in the team which allows me to be at 100 percent every race."
Bradl currently lies sixth in the championship standings on a total of 64 points.
