Márquez keeping feet firmly on the ground
21 August 2013 – Repsol Honda's Marc Márquez is refusing to get carried away after his three-race run of victories, the Spaniard wary of an increased Yamaha threat at the Czech Grand Prix.
Having taken advantage of injuries to his nearest rivals, Márquez holds a lead of 21 points over team-mate Dani Pedrosa in the title race. But he does not expect a walkover at the Brno circuit, where Yamaha recently completed a successful test.
"Brno isn't one of my favourite tracks but I won there [in Moto2] last year so I still have a good feeling there," said Márquez, who has triumphed four times so far this season.
"We will see when we get there, historically Yamaha have been very strong so I'm sure they will be very fast again, also considering they tested there a few weeks ago."
The Moto2 Champion added: "We will wait to see our level and take the weekend at our own pace, work hard and try to take some more championship points."
