Bradl sets pace in second Brno practice
23 August 2013 – Stefan Bradl was the surprise pace-setter during second practice for the Czech Grand Prix on Friday afternoon. The LCR Honda rider clocked a best effort of 1:56.500 to edge out reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo by three hundredths of a second.
On his final lap of the day, Bradl dipped under the benchmark set by Lorenzo, who had led for the majority of the session. Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa was next up in third, the Spaniard looking to repeat the victory he achieved at Brno 12 months ago.
Valentino Rossi and Marc Márquez were again classified in fourth and fifth, just ahead of Tech 3 duo Cal Crutchlow and Bradley Smith. Álvaro Bautista followed in eighth, while the Ducatis of Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden rounded out the top ten.
Saturday's third practice session at Brno begins at 9.55am local time (GMT +2)
